וַתֵּ֗לֶד שַׁ֚עַף אֲבִ֣י מַדְמַנָּ֔ה אֶת־שְׁוָ֛א אֲבִ֥י מַכְבֵּנָ֖ה וַאֲבִ֣י גִבְעָ֑א וּבַת־כָּלֵ֖ב עַכְסָֽה׃ (ס)
And [the wife of] Shaaph the father of Madmannah bore Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

and Caleb’s daughter was Achsah Now he starts at the beginning, and begins with Achsah because she was Othniel’s wife, as is written there (Jos. 15:16, Jud. 1:12): “And Caleb said: ‘He that shall smite Kirjath Sepher, etc.’”
